Owyhee Jasper Cabochon

Owyhee jasper,sometimes called Owhyhee Picture jasper, comes from eastern Oregon near the Idaho border.  It's a classic lapidary material.

The cabochon measures 39 x 29 x 9.2 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 3.0 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
