Polychrome Jasper Cabochon

This material comes from Madagascar.  With its broad patterns it is often used for sculptures.

The cabochon measures 60 x 23 x 7.7 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 3.2 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
