Amethyst Sage Agate Cabochon

Amethyst Sage is a dendritic agate (tree like inclusions) that comes from Bilk Mountain range near Denio, Nevada.  It wasn't discovered until the 1990's.  It's found in nodules as small as a fist up to 1000 pound boulders.

The cabochon measures 38 x 26 x 5.9 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.6 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
