Peruvian Pink Opal Cabochon

This material comes from the Andes Mountains in Peru.

The cabochon measures 43 x 23 x 6.5 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.3 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
