Mtorolite Cabochon

Mtorolite is a type of chalcedony which gets its color from a small amount of Chromium.  It's named for a town in Zimbabwe where it was found in the 1950's.

The cabochon measures 40 x 13 x 7.3 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 3.0 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
