Malachite Cabochon

Malachite is a copper oxide mineral known for its deep green color.  It's been used for jewelry since 4000 B.C.

The cabochon measures 20 x 13 x 5.3 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.1 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
