Unknown Jasper Cabochon

This material does have a name but neither of us can remember it.  I'm pretty sure it comes from northern Mexico.

The cabochon measures 48 x 28 x 4.5 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.0 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
