Black Crayola Jasper Cabochon

This a relatively new material that comes from the McDermitt area on the Nevada/Oregon border.

The cabochon measures 29 x 22 x 5.9 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.3 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
