Butterfly Wing Jasper Cabochon

Butterfly Wing Jasper comes from northern Mexico and is named for the pattern that is found in some pieces.

The cabochon measures 40 x 13 x 6.2 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 3.0 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
