Prudent Man Agate Cabochon

This banded agate comes from the Prudent Man Mine in the mountains of eastern Oregon. This one shows the classic pattern of bands of color going from dark to translucent.

The cabochon measures 40 x 19 x 5.5 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.2 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
