Dead Ringer Jasper Cabochon

Dead Ringer jasper comes from the Dead Camel Mountains in western Nevada not too far east of Reno.  This material is a relatively new find.

The cabochon measures 38 x 25 x 8.7 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 3.0 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
