Green Gold Stone Cabochon

Goldstone is a man-made glass.  The green flakes are actually chromium oxide that form during the process.

The cabochon measures 56 x 20 x 5.2 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 1.8 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
