Indonesian Fossil Palm Root

One of the classic lapidary materials from Indonesia.

The cabochon measures 40 x 14 x 6.4 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.6 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
