Variscite Cabochon

Variscite is a popular lapidary material.  It's found in a few places around the world.  We believe this is from Nevada.

The cabochon measures 21 x 7.5 x 3.6 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.0 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
